Here's what I did with the Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass record cover that Katy gave me! The woman on this record cover is clearly in awe. She worships the almighty Herb Alpert, and I daresay I can't blame her. Inspiration for this collage came partly from a date at a Mexican restaurant that I recently went on. Suffice it to say that I can identify with this woman and her infatuation.
Mixed media on canvas. Red paint, and walnut ink sprayed over a stencil provided the background. The record (and everything else) was attached with gel medium, the pointed arch is paper that was painted and inked, and the roses are handcut from a public domain image. Three dimensionality provided by foam squares. The scroll is hand drawn. This work is for sale so email me at shannonclyne@gmail.com if you are interested in purchasing it! Honestly, I think it would look nice over your cama.

Love it love it love it! That's totally cool. The record label is a perfect halo. I don't know how you could stand to part with this one.
